In unforeseen circumstances or severe weather, electrical outages may occur.  If you or a family member rely on life-support equipment, filing a medical certificate from your doctor or local Board of Health with LIPA now is important.

Please let LIPA know about life-support equipment by calling 1-800-490-0025.

To make sure you or a loved one receives special attention:

bulletFile a medical certificate with us from a doctor or the local Board of Health
bulletWe will note your account and tag your meter as “Critical Care.”
bulletWhen we anticipate a severe storm, we will call you so that you can make advanced preparations.
bullet If an outage does occur, every effort will be made to restore your electricity
as soon as possible. Please remember that there may be circumstances when timely restoration is difficult. It is important that you develop a plan now that will ensure your medical needs are taken care of in the event of a power outage.

As of May 19, 2011, the Draft of the Village’s Storm Water Management Program Annual Report is available for public review.  The Draft may be accessed by clicking on the link (books) below.  Public comments on the Draft will be accepted at Village Hall, (516) 354-0064 and vnhpdpw@vnhp.org until May 28, 2011.  The Village’s Phase II Storm Water Management Program Plan Document is also available for review at Village Hall.
