Village officials continue to meet and work with FAA representatives especially in regard to noise emanating from helicopter traffic over the Village.
We are pleased to report that the Port Authority of NY and NJ recently signed an agreement with an Environmental Science and Planning Firm to conduct a noise study at JFK and LGA Airports. This study will show areas around the airport impacted by noise above the 55 decibel average. Also, portable noise monitors will be placed in certain communities considered by the FAA to have significant noise impact.
